Shiryukyo Pseudata Iris Plant Care Instructions: Plants are relatively easy to care for, however, these actions will keep it healthy and growing. Only water if there has been no rain for 3 weeks. Spent flowers should be cut back all the way down to the first set of attractive leaves. Any leaves that develop brown tips during the summer can be cut off just below the browning area. This is a natural process with iris. Do not mulch. Keep dried leaves cleaned out of the plant. All foliage should be cut back to the ground in early fall. Plants should be divided every 3-5 years. This should be done 4 weeks after flowering. Spring is a good time apply one application of fertilizer.
