Best Plants, Great Packaging, Real Value
Aureola Hakone (Japanese Forest Grass) Plants are one of the few ornamental grasses that grow well in the shade. If you live in the north you may want to give it a little more sun exposure to bring out and maintain the signature golden color. That golden hue changes to pink and shades of red in the fall, adding color when other garden plants are fading to brown. Growing in clumps, this variegated grass develops a graceful, waterfall-type habit that is even more beautiful when the breezes blow.

Bought 2 of these May 2013 and despite the really harsh winter in NY, they came up ahead of other perennials in May. Adds a nice touch without being an overbearing, weedy looking grass. Love them!

I recently received (3) new Aureola plants and was very pleased in their appearance. This is my third year for ordering plants and have always been pleased with my plants. My garden is growing. Marilyn

It brightens the shaded area immensely! It came very well packed, small but healthy. This site offers the most reasonable price than most that I've researched. I live in zone 7. My planting site is mostly shaded but gets early morning sun. I planted it around the edges of my patio & some under a tree. I am so hoping that it will all survive because it looks stunning already! Very pleased with my purchase. Will update with pictures as soon as they get established. **Christine-pictures would be great! Thanks.

Planted both and although smaller than expected they both are doing well and look very healthy. They are slow growers so I am looking forward to when they mature.

I bought 2 of these last year so I decided to get 2 more this year to fill in a shady gap in my garden and they look wonderful. I love the cascading that it does and it was very hardy to winter here in zone 5.
