Plant Features

Big Daddy tomatoes: meaty, robust, and loaded with old-fashioned flavor. Developed as a close relative to the beloved Big Boy, Big Daddy stands out with its slightly larger fruit size, heightened disease resistance, higher yields, and a well-balanced taste—while still preserving the large, meaty characteristics that made Big Boy a classic. This variety reliably produces extra-large, 14–16-ounce fruits throughout the season, making it ideal for hearty slices and juicy sandwiches. Vigorous vines and sturdy plants ensure healthy, abundant harvests. Grown with our natural methods to nurture their strength and flavor, Big Daddy Tomato Plants are guaranteed to arrive alive and thriving!

Planting Instructions:

  • - Apply a balanced 5-5-5 fertilizer or our recommended Espoma Tomato Tone at planting, once flowers appear, and again three weeks later

Pruning and Training:

  • - Removing suckers is optional
  • - Stake or cage plants for support

Pollination:

  • - Self-pollinating, but benefit from insect, wind, or mechanical movement

Additional Pest Management:

Best plants I have ordered

I have ordered plants from various vendors for many years, GrowJoy beats them all. In the past the plants arrived stressed and almost dead , or broken and withered. GrowJoy packs them right !!!! AWESOME
