Blackie Ipomoea Plants offer vigorous trailing foliage with dark, burgundy black, maple-shaped leaves. Sweet potato vines are heavy feeders, so they benefit greatly from regular fertilizer feedings! They also prefer soil that does not dry out completely. When grown in containers, once the top is dry to about 1 inch, water it and check regularly during really hot weather.

and they will contrast beautifully with my lime Ipomoeas and flowering plants. As gorgeous as they are now, I can't wait until they start spilling over my planters and beds. Very healthy, dense plants. Bravo!!

I purchased Blackie Ipomoea last year for some hanging baskets and enjoyed them so much I ordered again this year. Just as before, this year's order delivered healthy, vigorous plants that are already thriving. These Ipomoeas are great for containers. They contrast nicely with the colorful plants in the container and cascade over the edge for a lovely and dramatic effect. I'm sure I'll order again next year.

Even with the harsh winter my Blackie Ipomoea plants arrived healthy and very well packaged. I give 5 stars!!

What a stunning plant the Blackie Ipomoea is! I fell in love with Sweet Potato vines the year before as I watched them trail down my back deck railing from a secured pot. The Blackie didn't trail as long as the bright Green Marguerite, but was spectacular in its display of Red and Black, with startling new leaves of Lime Green. I rescued the pot from our North Carolina frost one day too late, but the poor thing rewarded me with adapting to a hanging pot by a bright window on my inside balcony. It recovered to become a cherished indoor plant this last winter. So I'm going to experiment this year with where to put my six new varieties of Sweet Potato plants. Since my nest is surrounded by tall trees that keep my property from having full sun, I'm learning to appreciate the joys of plants that enjoy shade...and these are the plants!!

These arrived in the most incredible packaging for plants I've ever seen. They were healthy & upright better than what I could find locally. No transplant shock because they were so protected from who knows what during shipping. I'm even saving the containers for later use!

I recently ordered 3 of the Blackie Sweet Potato plants (Ipomoea Plant). They arrived in the cutest container that protected the whole plant, let the leaves breathe, but kept the soil moist. I never expected such beautiful healthy vigorous plants to come in the mail. I am super pleased and ready to order more live plants from GrowJoy today!
