Plant Features

Border Ballet Kniphofia Plants are clump-forming perennials that produce festive looking tiny, tube-like blooms atop a long single green stem. The overall effect is that of a long, ruffled bloom in shades of red, pink, yellow, orange and creamy pastels. Each flower last 2-3 weeks. Plants will shoot new flowers from late spring to mid-summer if spent blooms are kept removed. Red hot poker, or touch lily plants grow best in full sun to part shaded locations with fertile, well-drained soil. The roots require a lot of water during the blooming season to keep the new buds coming. They love container and make excellent cut flowers. Kniphofia plants are an excellent source of nectar for butterflies and  hummingbirds. They are seldom browsed by rabbits or deer.

Our Kniphofia Plants, also known as Red Hot Poker, are grown without harmful pesticides, ensuring they are a safe and striking addition to your garden. Guaranteed to arrive healthy and ready to thrive!

Planting Instructions:

Additional Pest Management:

  • - Kniphofia is generally pest-resistant but may occasionally attract slugs and snails

Can't wait to see

These arrived small and trimmed for shipping. The greens look strong and healthy. Planted per instructions. They seem ok so far. Not expecting them to bloom or show any growth until next year.

Border Ballet Plant

I purchased the Border Ballet Plant from Growjoy. The plant I received was in very good condition, and I am sure it will thrive very well and produce beautiful blooms. The packaging they use to ship plants in is absolutely remarkable, and it really protects the plant from becoming damaged during shipment. I am never reluctant to order from Growjoy as I am always confident that I will receive quality plants.
