Iris germanica 'Candlemas' is a standard dwarf iris that produces beautiful white flowers with faint gold and violet coloring that are held well above their clumps of foliage. It can be grown in landscaping or containers. Plants grow best in sunny locations with well-drained soils. They make spectacular additions to rock gardens and early summer beds and borders. Deer tend to overlook irises. Photo is courtesy of the breeder, Hugh Stout.
