Plant Features

Our Climbing Petiolaris Hydrangea Plant will create excitement in your landscape, either as a climbing hydrangea or as a blooming groundcover. Also simply known as a Climbing Hydrangea, the glossy, heart-shaped foliage grows on cinnamon-colored bark that is rough and peels. It is interesting, in and of itself, but when it blooms, the 6 to 10-inch blossoms are nothing short of stupendous! Lacy and frilly are just two adjectives used to describe these creamy white flowers that appear as if purposely layered from top to bottom. It comes naturally and will happily climb a wooden fence, brick wall or stately oak. Patience means waiting a few years for the vines to really take hold before the blossoms are substantial, but some things are just worth waiting for!
