Plant Features

ColorBlaze® Dipt in Wine Coleus Plants offer foliage with light-infused gold to bright green with a velvety-looking, fantastically opulent burgundy coating. Then, along each delicately scalloped edge, a fine golden lining. Arguably one of the most richly colored coleus plants available! Like most coleus, the amount of sunlight will affect the coloration. Coleus grows best in moist, well-drained soil.

Planting Instructions:

- Plant in spring after the last frost date
- Space plants 12-18 inches apart, depending on the variety
- Coleus can be grown in containers, borders, or as bedding plants

Soil Preparation:

- Ideal soil pH: 6.0-7.0 (slightly acidic to neutral)
- Use well-draining, fertile soil rich in organic matter

Our plant is at least 3 1/3 foot tall and about 4 ft wide. It is in a large pot and sets in the corner of our fence and the neighbors. All I can say is it fills that corner and makes a real statement.

ColorBlaze Dipt in Wine Coleus Plant

This is the second year I had the ColorBlaze Dipt in Wine Coleus Plant ordered. Like last, it arrived looking vibrant and healthy and was well packaged to avoid damage to the plant. Last year it accented the garden with its vibrant color, even though it was in a shaded area with only partial morning sun. I highly recommend this plant as a backdrop to Hostas.
