Plant Features

Delicious tomatoes are garden heavyweights, prized for their huge, flavorful fruits that pack a punch. This open-pollinated variety produces bright red tomatoes weighing 1 to 2 pounds, with smooth, firm skin that resists cracking—ideal for slicing into sandwiches, salads, or fresh eating. The flesh is meaty and full, offering a strong, classic tomato flavor with a hint of sweetness.

Why choose Delicious? Developed from Beefsteak stock in the 1960s, this indeterminate plant grows vigorously to 4–6 feet with support, delivering a reliable yield through the season. Famous for record-breaking sizes, it’s a top pick for gardeners wanting big tomatoes with cracking resistance and consistent production until frost.

Grown naturally and pesticide-free, our Delicious Tomato starter plants arrive healthy and ready to thrive in your garden. Nurtured for peak performance, they guarantee a hearty harvest of these impressive tomatoes.

Delicious indeed!

This is a very tasty mid-sized tomato. The plant arrived amazingly fast and in very good condition. Now transferred to a larger temporary pot, and due to be planted in the ground this week, the plant is growing quite well.

Doing well after a few days

The young plant arrived safe and well protected in the shipping wrapping. Planted outside in container on April 30, once we had days in the 60s/70s and nights in 40s/50s. (I’m in zone 7.). It is doing well and has doubled in size after two sunny days.

Delicious Tomato

This is my second season, growing GrowJoy Delicious Tomatoes. They are MY go-to place for these plants. I grow tomatoes competitively, and GrowJoy's Delicious Tomato plants have consistently outperformed any other plants. I grew the largest tomato in my county, last year. A 3.97lb GrowJoy delicious. Great company, great customer service..
