Fine Line® Rhamnus produces a narrow, upright growing habit with substantially improved foliage with tight, dense branching from the ground to the top. Perfect for decorative containers, as a specimen, and especially as a narrow hedge. Easy to maintain and fuss free!

Planting Instructions:

• - Can be planted anytime the soil temps are 60F

Soil Preparation:

• - Ideal soil pH: 6.0-7.5, tolerates a wide range of soil types
• - Prefers well-drained, moderately fertile soil but adapts to clay, loam, or sandy conditions

Watering Specifics:

• - Water deeply during the first growing season to establish roots
• - Once established, drought-tolerant but benefits from occasional watering during prolonged dry periods

Fertilizer Type:

• - Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring if needed
• - Avoid over-fertilization, as excessive nutrients can lead to weak growth

Pruning and Training:

• - Prune in late winter or early spring to shape and remove dead or damaged branches
• - Regular pruning may be needed to control size or prevent invasiveness in some species

Additional Pest Management:

• - Generally pest-resistant but monitor for aphids or scale insects
• - Maintain good air circulation to prevent fungal diseases like rust or leaf spot

Temperature Tolerance:
