Plant Features

Chive Garlic Herb produces flat, skinny leaves, rather than the round, hollow stems most other varieties offer. Both blooms and stems are edible and have a garlic-onion flavor. Snip blooms to keep plants from self-seeding and spreading. A tender perennial, garlic chives can be snipped to the ground to keep the plant producing fresh leaves until frost. It can be grown indoors next to a south facing window. Indoor plants should be watered just as the potting mix starts to dry.

I ordered some garlic chives and the plants look fine and the packaging was quite unique. It saved the plants. FedEx is pretty bad about banging your packages around these days. I'll be ordering more plants for spring for 👍.

grlic chive herb

One of my favorite herbs. Got this in plant in excellent condition in the packaging and re-planted it in my raised garden bed the following day after watering as soon as they came. Very healthy plant

I bought a chives plant along with few other plants. It looked a bit dull and small when it came out of the package. However once I planted it in a pot, it perperked up. Now it is planted in the ground and has started growing again once the weather has warmed up. I am a in love with the growjoy packaging and the plants always arrive healthy.

Happy and Planted

My order was received alive (very good sized) and very well packed. They have been planted in containers on my balcony and are flourishing. I have been ordering from GrowJoy for at least four years and have always been pleased with the results. Last year I placed my order a bit late and some of the herbs I wanted were no longer available. I ordered from two other sources and was extremely disappointed in the results. The plants were small and sickly looking and a couple did not survive.
