Planting Instructions:

  • - Plant in spring or fall for best results
  • - Space plants 12-18 inches apart to allow for mature growth and air circulation

Soil Preparation:

  • - Ideal soil pH: 6.0-7.0
  • - Prefers well-drained, humus-rich soil with good organic matter

Watering Specifics:

  • - Water deeply when first planted, allowing the soil to dry between waterings
  • - Once established, Heuchera is relatively drought-tolerant but performs best with consistent moisture

Fertilizer Type:

  • - Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring
  • - Avoid over-fertilizing, as this can reduce leaf color intensity

Pruning and Training:

  • - Remove spent flower spikes to tidy the plant and encourage new blooms
  • - Cut back damaged or dead foliage in late winter or early spring to promote fresh growth

Additional Pest Management:

  • - Heuchera is generally pest-free but can occasionally attract vine weevils; monitor and treat if needed
  • - Ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal diseases like powdery mildew

Blooming Indicators:

  • - Blooms from late spring through summer, with delicate, bell-shaped flowers on slender stems

Temperature Tolerance:

  • - Hardy in USDA zones 4-9, tolerates both heat and cold conditions

Companion Plants for Heuchera:

  • - Hosta: Complements Heuchera’s foliage with bold, contrasting leaves
  • - Astilbe: Adds soft, feathery blooms that pair beautifully with Heuchera’s textured leaves
  • - Ferns: Provides a lush, green backdrop to Heuchera’s colorful foliage

Lemon Chiffon Heuchera Plant

Received plant healthy and well packaged. Thank you!

From anonymous | April 22, 2016

Dainty light green leaves

This plant came in a small pot, but was very healthy. The packaging was excellent! After transplanting to a larger pot, this Lemon Chiffon Heuchera quickly grew to fill out the larger pot. When it arrived, it was a little smaller (in comparison to the other Heucheras that I bought). Also, the color was more 'light green' than 'lemoney" and the leaves were more dainty that the other Heucheras. Now that it is planted in the garden and getting more sunlight, I think it is starting to get more of the the "lemon yellow' appearance. Hopefully, it will soon look as nice as it does in the photos.

Heuchera Lemon Chiffon Plants

It was difficult locating an online nursery that had available stock of the Lemon Chiffon Heuchera plants. The plants arrived in perfect condition, packaged well to protect them. Their root systems were well developed. I wouldn't hesitate to order from, and recommend, GrowJoy for plants.
