Perfect flowers, Terrible habit

After seeing these gorgeous, mesmerising flowers, I was instantly hooked. However, it seems the manufacturers were too preoccupied with the flower and completely forgot about the plant’s growing habit. After 3 weeks, these petunias were super leggy (even after correct pruning) and after two months they are a leggy awful eyesore. Maybe it’s too much for them here (full sun 9A) and they’ll do better in the fall, but I wouldn’t purchase them again even though I love the flowers so much.
