Plant Features

Hello Yellow Milkweed Plants enhances the colors of its favorite visitor, the monarch butterfly, to perfection! It seems to grow wings with the myriad of honey bees and butterflies so irresistibly drawn to it. This one is also sap free! This butterfly weed offers larger, more brilliant blooms that show off a lovely golden yellow color for months! Hummingbirds enjoy its nectar will other wild birds use fiber from the plant to create their nests. It is the host plant for the Monarch butterfly. Hello Yellow Asclepias is a drought-tolerant perennial that grows well in average to sandy or rocky soils.

Planting Instructions:

  • - Can be planted spring, summer, or fall

Soil Preparation:

  • - Ideal soil pH: 6.0-7.0
  • - Prefers well-draining soil, but can tolerate poor, dry soils

  • - Drought-tolerant once established; water only during prolonged dry periods

Excellent Grower and Source for all plants

Adorable tight growth milkweed

We ordered two of these and one arrived in poor condition with a broken stalk - it died shortly thereafter. So why 5 stars? It just happens sometimes in shipping and the other plant was just gorgeous. I don't think one shipping problem should spoil my review of this milkweed - can't wait for it to bloom and show me yellow flowers!

Perfection

So healthy, green and perfect. Was hesitant to plant so late in the season but Grow Joy plants are so healthy it really does not matter when you plant them, as long as you keep them watered. So love the Grow Joy plants.

Butterfly milkweed

Perfection!

This plant arrived looking better than those I buy at our local nursery! The plant seemed like it had just been watered, and as I opened the box, there was a yellow bloom just smiling up at me! It has been in the ground for over a week in our hot West Texas sun and looks like it was made for this place!

Hello Yellow

The 2 plants I received from Grow joy were arrived well packaged and moist in a box with no holes. They started off well in my Monarch garden but after 3wks one died and about 2wks after that the other one started growing horizontal along the top of the soil¬hing I did saved it. Will definitely try again next year. I also had bought from Grow Joy too 3 Orange tuberosa milkweed plants. They are growing beautifully and are about to bloom. I will continue to order from this company in the future!
