Jersey Giant Asparagus Plant - 2-3 Year Crowns - 10-Pack

The Jersey Giant crowns arrived strong and healthy. I followed the instructions that came with the plants, soaking them and getting them in the ground immediately. I wasn't expecting to see anything so I didn't check on them for a few days. Imagine my surprise when I happened to look over and notice I already had asparagus growing!! Over a week has passed now and I do believe I could be enjoying just a bit in a few mores days!! I won't of course. Even though I will feel like the cookie monster waiting on his precious cookies to bake, apparently it's a bad idea to harvest any the first year.

Our first order of asparagus arrived in what seemed to be 2 days after ordering. It looked so good, we immediately ordered another 40 plants they look great as well. The first order is already sending up shoots and we'll have more than we can ever eat in the years to come. Very happy with packaging and delivery. Just wished the asparagus came in smaller portions - 2 crowns may be a bit much for my small garden, and I am not sure what to to do with the extras without giving them away. I guess it's time to search the internet.

My roots arrived safe and sound and healthy. They were planted and then I had spears! It was all I could do no to harvest this first year! The ferns are beautiful and huge. I can't wait until next year. Great service, great product!
