Lemongrass Herb Plant

Aloha from Hawai'i. As expected plant arrived well packaged, safe and secure. The plant appeared to have been given a haircut before shipping. Planted the following morning in a temporary pot, now about 4 weeks later new growth is looking quite nice.

Looked nice coming out of the packaging. I put the Lemongrass in the center of my front house pots hoping for some wonderful contrast. Last year I used a couple Palm Trees. The wind in KS really blows so they browned up early. Trying something new!

I was happy as to how quickly my order arrived and the good condition it arrived in. I quickly planted in pots and watered daily. After just more than two weeks, I can tell how much it has grown. It has thrived and now I just need to protect it from impending winds from Hurricane Isíasis.

Although I received a nice large Lemongrass plant, it is not the species I had hoped. This particular Lemongrass is easily started from seed, which I had already tried last year. The stems are not at thick as one I purchased elsewhere. That one did not do well over the winter and has only one stalk this summer, so I was hoping to try again.

I buy one of these every year from GrowJoy. By the end of the summer it is a huge, wonderful plant and I love using the stems to flavor my stir fries and soups. It is a challenge to dig up the old plant because it sets a strong root system. I love this herb!

We had been searching locally for Lemongrass because ours froze last winter. I love Lemongrass tea and have others enjoying it as well. We finally went online to see if we could find it, realizing there was not guarantee what we would get through the mail. One of my friends was looking for it as well, so I called her and asked if she wanted to get some with us. The price was very reasonable and our plants came quickly. When we opened the box, we were pleasantly surprised at the container our plants were mailed in. They were very healthy, and were in perfect shape. Our friend was excited to get her plant also. Ours are happily in the ground - growing well. We will order from you again in the future. It is nice to know someone is out there with great plants.

I plant Lemongrass to keep bugs away and for the sweet smell of lemons that they put out when you cut or crush them. My granddaughter loves to spread the cuttings around the yard.

My experience with GrowJoy has been a nice change of pace! The ordering process was very easy, the communications about when the plants would ship was clear. They base your ship date by the Zone you are in and the plant's needs automatically. The Lemongrass arrived in very good condition with only minor browning on the tips of the grass blades.
