Little Quick Fire® Hydrangea Plants produce white flowers that quickly age to a deep burgundy red before other varieties even start to bloom. This medium sized plant offers good drought tolerance and fits nicely into any landscape design. Some folks even grow it in containers. Little Quick Fire® is a colorful, fast blooming hydrangea.

Planting Instructions:

  • - Can be planted anytime the soil temps are 60F

Soil Preparation:

  • - Ideal soil pH: 6.0-7.0
  • - Prefers well-drained soil with organic matter for most bush varieties

Watering Specifics:

  • - Water thoroughly when first planted, allowing soil to dry slightly between waterings
  • - Once established, most bushes are drought-tolerant but benefit from regular watering during dry spells

Fertilizer Type:

  • - Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring to promote healthy growth
  • - Avoid over-fertilizing, as this can promote excessive foliage growth at the expense of blooms or fruit

Pruning and Training:

  • - Pruning if done at all, is best done in late winter or early spring

Additional Pest Management:

  • - Most bushes are pest-resistant, though monitor for aphids, mites, or scale insects depending on the species
  • - Ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal issues in dense growth

Temperature Tolerance:

  • - Tolerates heat and cold once established

Beautiful plants!

Plants arrived in excellent condition. I planted the same day they arrived and my plants are doing wonderful. Thank you Grow Joy for sending out nothing but the best. I will continue to order from you.

The many shades of Hydrangea

This little Hydrangea arrived safe and sound. It will be the first time I have planted a Hydrangea in a container, and I am so excited to have one on our deck. I am looking forward to the changing colors of the flowers.
