Mulato Isleno is a mild chile pepper with heart-shaped, 4-6” long fruit that changes from a dark green to a beautiful dark chocolate as it matures. Excellent for stuffing, roasting and salsa. This is a key ingredient in chile relleno. The fruit can be eaten at either stage and have a sweet but pungent taste to them.
