Best Plants, Great Packaging, Real Value
The Naomi Hakone (Japanese Forest Grass) Plant bears creamy yellow and medium-green variegated, striped, broad sweeping leaves, this variety is definitely grown for its colorful foliage that puts on shades of purple and dark pink in the fall. Though it does produce tiny reddish-brown, airy flower spikes in late summer that last through mid-fall, the seeds will not reproduce. This is a slow grower that will not aggressively impact its garden neighbors. It looks especially pretty cascading over rock walls or down slopes and is a little more tolerant of the sun than other Hakone grasses.
