What a flower
This Golden Yellow Alcea started blooming first week of June & it was only it's 2nd year. The yellow is deep and the flower almost looks fake, it is so perfect! If you're going to have Hollyhocks, be prepared with anti-fungal because they do suffer from Rust. Even thought I cut off all the leaves from 4' down, the plants (I have 2 colors) still blossom profusely and have at least 4 huge stems full of them. My neighbors love seeing them from their window which over looks my yard.
