Plant Features

Red Winner Watermelon Plants produce sweetly flavored, 15-18-pound melons with seedless, crispy red flesh on vigorous vines. Notice: because seedless varieties must have a pollinator plant growing alongside, we have included a non-harvesting pollinizer plant inside the pot.

We grow our Red Winner Seedless Watermelon Plants organically and guarantee them to arrive alive and thriving!

Planting Instructions:

- Transplant once soil temperatures reach 65°F

Soil Preparation:

- Ideal soil pH: 6.0-7.0
- Add compost and ensure soil is well-draining

Watering Specifics:

- Water deeply and consistently
- Reduce watering as fruits mature

Fertilizer Type:

- Use a balanced fertilizer at planting
- Side-dress with nitrogen-rich fertilizer when vines begin to run

Pruning and Training:

- Prune vines to control growth if necessary
- Remove any diseased or yellowing leaves

Pollination:

Growing like gangbusters!

We received our little plant in early May 2022 and put it by itself in 2/3 of a raised bed, with a willow pyramid trellis so we could encourage it to climb. A little over a month later, it is huge, climbing the trellis (with our guidance) and has multiple blossoms. I wish I could post a pic for you. We have never had luck with local watermelon before so are thrilled. Hope to enjoy many seedless, sweet melons this summer!

Seedless watermelon

Plants was delivered on time. Seedless watermelon and pollinator( two plants). Plants were limps from shipping, after transplanted for larger pot, it took about 8 days to perk up straight. Now they are on the way to grow big!

Good Summer Sweet Red Seedless Watermelon

They came in good shape. They did not like the sunlight though. I am having to condition them in the shade now with small amounts of sun. Once they're used to the direct sunlight I'm sure they'll take off.

Seedless Watermelon

This is the 4th year in a row I have purchased these Watermelons. Harvested many fine quality melons each of the last 3 years. One plant arrive wilted this year and died soon after arrival, but a replacement was requested and sent very promptly! Great customer service!

Watermelon Plants-Saved my garden

My garden has always had Watermelon of several types in it.... When the plants I started from seeds didn't do so well I had to find another alternative.
