Plant Features

Roma Tomato Plants produces an abundance of 3-inch, smooth skinned, thick-walled, meaty fruits with fewer seeds. It sets it fruits within a 2 week span, making it perfect for cooking and canning. Roma also offers superb disease resistance. Grow it and you'll see why its one of the more popular heirloom paste tomatoes.

Our Roma Tomato Plants are grown with a commitment to natural methods, ensuring they're healthy and robust. Guaranteed to arrive alive and thriving!

Planting Instructions:

- Transplant after danger of frost has passed
- Soil temperature should be at least 60°F

Soil Preparation:

- Ideal soil pH: 6.0-6.8
- Add compost or well-rotted manure (best done in the fall)

Watering Specifics:

- Water deeply and regularly
- Avoid wetting leaves to prevent disease

Fertilizer Type:

- Use a balanced 5-5-5 fertilizer or our recommended Espoma Tomato Tone at planting

Pruning and Training:

- Removing suckers is optional
- Stake or cage plants for support

Pollination:

- Self-pollinating, but benefit from insect, wind, or mechanical movement

Additional Pest Management:

- Watch for tomato hornworms

Very tall already good thick stalk of plant and lots of root structure. ONLY complaint is both my tomatoes were very dry and should have been in a larger container for there size. Boarderline root bound out of the gate

Roma Tomato

Both plants arrived in secure packaging, drooping leaves, no damage to plants. Watered 10 minutes later they perked up standing about 7 tall with several blossoms. Been in ground about a week now, exhibiting signs of new growth, and the blooms are still going strong! Very Happy.

Excellent Quality

Delightfully Surprised

I have never previously ordered live tomato plants before and I have to say I was surprised at how well of condition they arrived. They were strong, healthy and already started some flowers. Haven't had any of the fruit yet as it's too early in the season, but I'd order them again.
