Roquette Arugula Herb Plant

9.49
  • - Spacing: 6 inches
  • - Days to Harvest: 20
  • - Wider leaves with less pungent flavoring
  • - Each 3-Inch Pot contains 1 Roquette Arugula Herb Plant
Plant Features

Roquette Arugula offers wide, tongue-shaped leaves with the common nutty, peppery taste arugula growers love. Arugula is most often used in salads, soups, pasta, and on pizza. It grows best in full to part sun locations with moist soil. It can be grown indoors next to a south facing window. Indoor plants should be watered just as the potting mix starts to dry.

Planting Instructions:

  • - Space seeds or young plants 6-8 inches apart to allow for growth

Soil Preparation:

  • - Ideal soil pH: 6.0-7.0, prefers rich, well-drained soil
  • - Enrich soil with compost or a balanced organic fertilizer to encourage vigorous growth

Watering Specifics:

  • - Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist, especially during dry spells
  • - Avoid overwatering, as arugula does not like soggy soil

Fertilizer Type:

  • - Apply a light application of balanced organic fertilizer at planting and midway through the growing season

Pruning and Training:

  • - No significant pruning is required, but regular harvesting of outer leaves will encourage new growth and prolong the harvest period

Additional Pest Management:

  • - Keep an eye out for flea beetles and aphids, which can damage the leaves
  • - Use floating row covers to protect plants or apply organic insecticidal soaps as needed

Temperature Tolerance:

  • - Arugula prefers cooler weather and can be grown in early spring or fall
  • - Use shade cloths to extend growing season in warmer climates

Love Arugula

This is my second year buying Arugula from GrowJoy, I really missed it in my garden so I bought it with some fall season plants. Last years Tangy lasted until fall in the Midwest.

Roquette Arugula

I found Grow Joy very late in 2020, so l was not able to buy until late in the season. I made sure to order early in 2021. The lettuce looks great. I love the way they package their products. I will always purchase from Grow Joy!

Plant arrived late

This plant arrived late at night. We planted it the next day. Then it rained for three days. It is doing well.

Some chickens, some eggs

Overall, am pleased, as ordered 3 of each type of Arugula, and this one is about a foot high, thick in the window box and ready for salad tomorrow.

Very nice Arugula plant

One of the larger plants in my order, I had to transplant it already due to a sprinkler system leak and it rebounded quite well. Healthy and growing, All the plants I ordered were packed very safely and professionally and arrived in excellent condition. Quite impressed with that.
