Plant Features

San Marzano Tomato Plants produce long, cylindrical fruits with thick flesh and few seeds. The fruits produced can be as long as 3 1/2 inches in length. Known to hold up well in storage or vine, this plant's complex flavor makes it a favorite for both gourmet and home chefs. Its sweeter, larger, and less acidic than Roma. This heirloom is said to have originated in Italy.

Our San Marzano Tomato Plants are grown with a commitment to natural methods, ensuring they're healthy and robust. Guaranteed to arrive alive and thriving!

Planting Instructions:

- Transplant after danger of frost has passed
- Soil temperature should be at least 60°F

Soil Preparation:

- Ideal soil pH: 6.0-6.8
- Add compost or well-rotted manure (best done in the fall)

Watering Specifics:

- Water deeply and regularly
- Avoid wetting leaves to prevent disease

Fertilizer Type:

- Use a balanced 5-5-5 fertilizer or our recommended Espoma Tomato Tone at planting

Pruning and Training:

- Removing suckers is optional
- Stake or cage plants for support

C ould not believe it

This plant just keeps putting more and more tomatoes on it. I have had to use so many claps and zip ties to hold the clusters of heavy tomatoes up so they will not break. I know when they ripen I will be canning tomatoes. I will get 2 of these plants next year.

First year growing these. In 2 weeks plants have tripled in size and have tons fo tiny buds and flowers can't wait to get tomatoes!

I purchased tomato plants last year and loved them. The plants are packed well and the plants are healthy upon arrival. I got a great harvest last year and by the looks of the plants, I should get another one this year. Order early, they sell out fast.

Greenhouse tomatoes
