Gulliver Pink does best with full sun but will handle light shade just fine. You can also try these as a gorgeous ground cover. Soil should be well-drained. Bacopa attracts bees.

Planting Instructions:

  • - Plant in spring after the last frost date
  • - Space plants 6-12 inches apart, depending on the variety

Soil Preparation:

  • - Ideal soil pH: 5.5-6.5

Watering Specifics:

  • - Water when the top inch of soil feels dry
  • - Avoid letting the soil dry out completely, as this can cause flower drop

Fertilizer Type:

  • - Use a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every 2-3 weeks during the growing season
  • - Reduce fertilizing in late summer to prepare for winter dormancy

Pruning and Training:

  • - Pinch back growing tips to encourage bushiness and promote more flowering
  • - Trim longer stems to maintain desired shape, especially in hanging baskets

Additional Pest Management:

  • - Watch for common pests like aphids, whiteflies, and spider mites
  • - Monitor for diseases such as root rot and powdery mildew

Blooming Indicators:

  • - Produces small, delicate flowers along trailing stems
  • - Blooms continuously from spring through fall

Light Requirements:

  • - Needs at least 4-6 hours of direct sunlight daily for optimal blooming
  • - In hot climates, afternoon shade can be beneficial

Temperature Tolerance:

  • - Can tolerate brief periods of heat but may require more frequent watering
  • - Not frost-hardy; protect or bring indoors when temperatures drop below 40°F

  • - Calibrachoa: These plants offer similar trailing habits with more vibrant, petunia-like flowers
  • - Lobelia: Provides a pop of intense color, often in shades of blue
  • - Petunias: These classic annuals complement Bacopa's delicate flowers with larger blooms
