Spring Grove® Arborvitae Tree

The Spring Grove® Arborvitae Plant is a fast growing, winter-hardy Western Arborvitae. Keeping its gorgeous green color throughout the coldest winters, this cultivar is also drought and heat tolerant. In addition, unlike many Thuja, winter-foraging deer find Spring Grove to be unappetizing. Making a fantastic privacy screen, this Proven Winners® selection will grow much faster than spruce and take up a good deal less room, growing in a dense, tight, statuesque pyramid.

Planting Instructions:

• - Can be planted anytime the soil temps are 60F

Soil Preparation:

• - Ideal soil pH: 6.0-8.0, adaptable to a range of soil types, prefers moist, well-drained soil
• - Amend soil with compost or peat moss to improve drainage and fertility

Watering Specifics:

• - Water deeply and regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system
• - Once established, they are somewhat drought tolerant but benefit from occasional deep watering during dry spells
