Summerific® Berrylicious™ Hardy Hibiscus Plants feature amazingly dense bright green, prolific, maple-like foliage that grows on a dense, bushy, well-rounded and salt-tolerant Rose Mallow plant. Bearing heavily textured, rich, mauvy-lavender blossoms, these 8 to 9-inch blooms have a deep, cranberry red throat. The upright habit of this hibiscus makes this an ideal flowering hedge, one that has an extended blooming season, producing pinwheel-sized flowers with wonderful overlapping petals. An improved version of 'Fantasia', its flower power and tidier habit has made this one a Proven Winners® Selection.

Our Hardy Hibiscus Plants are carefully grown without harmful pesticides, ensuring they are a safe and vibrant addition to your garden. Guaranteed to arrive healthy and ready to thrive!

Planting Instructions:

  • - Best planted in spring or early summer for optimal root development
  • - Space plants 3-4 feet apart to allow for mature growth and proper air circulation

Soil Preparation:

  • - Ideal soil pH: 6.0-7.5
  • - Prefers moist, well-drained soil; thrives in rich, organic soil but tolerates average conditions

  • - Water deeply and regularly, especially during dry periods, to keep the soil consistently moist
  • - Mulch around the base of the plant to retain moisture and maintain even soil temperature

Fertilizer Type:

  • - Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring to encourage vigorous growth and flowering
  • - Feed again in mid-summer to support continuous blooming

Pruning and Training:

  • - Prune in late winter or early spring to remove dead or damaged stems
  • - Cut back to the ground in late fall after the plant has gone dormant to encourage fresh growth next spring

Additional Pest Management:

  • - Hardy Hibiscus is generally pest-resistant but may attract aphids or Japanese beetles; monitor and treat if necessary
  • - Ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal diseases

Blooming Indicators:

  • - Blooms from mid-summer to early fall with large, showy flowers in shades of red, pink, white, or purple

Love it!

This plant arrived late this year and when in arrived in SD in July I never expected it to grow enough to bloom. I was so wrong. The little shrub is loaded with blooms. I wish the blooms lasted longer. They are done in 36 hrs.

Beautiful ❤️

This was my first Hibiscus and I'm very impressed. The picture on your website doesn't begin to show how beautiful this plant truly is.

Summerific Berrylicious Hardy Hibiscus Plant

I ordered this plant because I thought because of this past rough winter I had lost the one I had. It just started coming up when this Summerific arrived, I'm happy, now I have two, beautiful color.

Summerific Berrylicious Hibiscus

I received a nice good size healthy plant. Plant is growing nicely and showed no shipping stress. Shipping was delayed a few times due to weather and GrowJoy stayed in contact with updates. I would not hesitate to buy from again. Very satisfied with everything from ordering to delivery.

Hardy Hibiscus Bargain

Living in hot humid coastal Alabama I usually won't order plants in the summer. When they get here they are cooked. I got brave and ordered last summer and was pleasantly surprised. This year was just as good. My new hybrid variety is doing well. And the price for this plant was a steal. Most places are asking $20 or more for these. I'm a big GrowJoy fan.
