Superbena® Burgundy Verbena Plants by Proven Winners® are hybrid varieties that are bred specifically for vigorous growth, low maintenance, heat tolerance and resistance to mildew. Bearing large clusters of purplish-red blossoms with white throats, Superbena® Burgundy is well-branched, though a quick trim with a pair of scissors will result in even fuller plants and therefore, more blossoms. Some gardeners actually trim them as they are transplanting to encourage more branching. Plant as a superb flowering ground cover or as a spiller from a container or over a retaining wall.
