Tuberosa Asclepias Plant

I've made made gaillardia and milkweed the heart of my butterfly garden and these were flowering even before they were planted. All of the gaillardia and asclepias plants from Growjoy have been great. I ordered several if these and they are already blooming bigtime!

One could not hope for a more lovingly shipped plant! Every plant I've ever received from GrowJoy has been packed with Ace Ventura, Pet Detective in mind (remember the scene as he masqueraded as a UPS driver, treating a fragile box with wild abandon??). And then there's the treat of discovering the plant inside. I have been babying my new plants while waiting to get them into a new landscape cannot wait to see my results next year!

Three plans ordered, all arrived healthy and transplanted easily. Pluses: Healthy plants, well described on line. Minuses: Plants ordered 4/23, credit card immediately charged although plants were not shipped until mid June. Not a common practice with other companies I deal with. Would order from them again, but would keep this in mind.

Plant arrived well packaged, with good roots system. It transplanted well and as it grows big I put it in its own pot. At the moment its happily basking in the sun and getting ready to grow bigger and help save our butterflies, which is why I bought it.

I ordered one Tuberosa Asclepias plant from GrowJoy and am very impressed with it. It is one tough plant. It was such a tiny plant in its 3” pot when I received it from GrowJoy last spring that after I transplanted it into my garden, I accidentally stepped on it…twice. However, it bounced right back and bloomed very well. The butterflies seemed to enjoy it. Now I it is covered in these long okra-like seed pods that are beginning to open up and release their fluffy white seeds that get carried off by the wind. It truly is a delightful plant.

My Tuberosa Asclepias Plant arrived healthy and in great shape. However, later I planted it I accidentally stepped on it and squished it. It seems to be fine though and is doing well. I attribute this to the healthy root system that this plant arrived with.

I've been growing the Tuberosa Asclepias for many years and love it every year it blooms! Make sure you 'mark' the spot where it's growing, so you don't dig it up accidentally until it starts showing new green growth in the Spring.

I ordered 8 of the Tuberosa Ascleias plants last year, & they arrived in fantastic condition.I was impressed by the strong, healthy, well developed root system, the container was packed w/roots. They did very well, & bloomed soon after I planted them. They are a great buy for the money. When I realized I was short 1 plant, I called, & got outstanding customer service. My additional plant was shipped right away, at no charge to me.
