Plant Features

What sets Vermillionaire® Large Firecracker (Cuphea hybrid) apart is its abundant, tubular flowers in a striking red-orange color that resemble firecrackers, hence its captivating name. This stunning, relatively new hybrid variety of Cuphea, a genus of flowering plants native to the Americas, blooms continuously from late spring through fall, providing a long-lasting display of vibrant color in your garden. The flowers are highly attractive to hummingbirds and other pollinators, making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens.

Planting Instructions:

- Plant in spring after the last frost date

Looking forward for hummers to stop by!!

I waited a year to get this unique plant. Last year it was sold out. Very satisfied with quality of plant received. Foliage was healthy and it had a lot of blooms and buds. Grows pretty fast. Since I received it 3 weeks ago it has added 6 inches.

These are hummingbird magnets

I learned a couple of years ago that my hummingbirds love this plant so I always have some in various locations. I especially like to have it in a pot outside my office window so I can watch them dance around all the long, skinny blooms! Always nice plants delivered!
